Interviews with famous people

My brief career as an entertainment journalist

Role: Interviewer and Writer

Are celebrities just like us? Or are they lizard people in synthetic human skin trying to infiltrate our society?

I got the chance to find out when I worked as a columnist and breaking news editor at a small entertainment magazine called Limelife.

In press calls with actors like John Goodman and Maya Rudolph, I got to ask questions about the roles they promoted while doing my best not to fanboy over “The Big Lebowski” or “Saturday Night Live.” These brief clips are all that survive.

While celebrity journalism—and the entertainment industry in general—is mostly salacious clickbait, it offered me an early opportunity to learn how to handle tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and write serviceable articles almost instantly.
